Here is the gorgeous ornie I received from Julianne. It is the cutest snowman and on the back is a pocket which Julianne had some candy cane and chocolate stashed away for me, they didn't last long with my 5 year old son.
Thank you soo much, I just love it and he is already on my tree.
Merry Christmas everyone and here's to a wonderful year of exchanging in 2010 on YLPS.

Exchange Received
I'm really sorry I haven't posted earlier - the exchange arrived last week - I thought I'd done it, but as my Ma says "thought planted an egg and thought it would grow into a chicken..."
So, without further ado, here is the delicate Santa Leeann stitched for me, over one, no less!
This cheery chappie has gone to join my other handmade ornaments in a basket (I don't have a tree). Thank you Leeann, and a Merry Christmas to you!

Exchange received.
Here is the lovely exchange I have received from Patti here ,
it is a design that I had thought of stitching myself and now I don't have to!
Patti stitched it on a high count linen and it really looks beautiful. Also included were some threads
and a scissor fob.
Thanks Patti, I love it all!

Gorgeous Ornament (round #4) From Pilar
The beautiful PS Exchange (round #4) that Pilar sent arrived at my house yesterday and is now hanging on my recently decorated Christmas tree. This gorgeous ornament is stitched on very tiny count; it looks like 40ct over two (?) ~ truly perfect stitching and finishing. Pilar inserted dried lavender inside so the ornament smells wonderful, such a nice touch!
Thank you so much Pilar for this beautiful ornament, I shall treasure it.

See the cute little reindeer in the corners. I know this is a bad picture, I will try to take a better one.

Lillie sent me the pretties ornament. Frosty Fun, from the JCS 2009. I am so fortunate because it is one I really wanted and was going to stitch again for myself. Now it sits on my tree all bright an shinny. I will post a pic later when the light is better. She also sent me some of her cute flower pins and some stamps, pen and little wreath.
Thank you Lillie, I love everything.

I received this lovely pincushion from Conny in my mailbox yesterday.

Thank you so much Conny. I hope the e-mail that I sent reached you.

Hands to work, Hearts to God
Just wanted to update the group that my exchange item made it to the post office just before they closed with not a minute to spare. I hope that my receiver will like it as searching their blog gave me the inspiration to create this piece. I also drew inspiration from a PBS special from many years ago that I was fortunate to watch one Saturday afternoon on the Shakers. There influence on needlework and their motto, "Hands to work, Hearts to God" just seemed a fitting them for my exchange. It is a motto that touches my heart as my thankfulness to God for my talents of patients, abilities to execute and love of needlework encompass and bless my life. As soon as there is confirmation that it arrives I will post pictures to share.

Round3 Pictures
You must believe me when I say that my poor photography does not come anywhere near to showing how beautiful this piece is, and how much work Leena must have put into it. As you may remember, it got held up in the postal strikes we are having in the UK at the moment, and there was a nerve jangling wait until it was finally delivered!
I have to say - it was worth the wait! When I unwrapped it, I was speechless! - that doesn't often happen :o) It is taking pride of place on my Hallowe'en/Autumn display and will probably be on show all year round as it matches my living room decor!
Thank you again Leena, for making such a treasure just for me!

Round 4
My round 4 exchange went in the post today in order to try and beat the national postal strikes that are looming here in the U.K. Hopefully it will arrive safely at it's destination before the strikes start and not get caught up in any backlog of post. I really hope my partner likes what I've stitched as I had great fun stitching the exchange.

Thank you Leena!
Yesterday while I was out at work, and my sweetie was ill in bed, there was a knock at the door - several knocks actually, as it took sweetie a while to get upright and hobble to the door.
The postie handed over a sack - literally a sack - of mail. It's all stuff that has been delayed because of the recent strike activity. And amongst all the books and bills, there was a package from Leena.
It's amazing! It's wonderful! - and it's not yet photographed as I'm about to go out to work again! (The perils of freelancing, you take work where you can...)
But thank you so much Leena, I will truly treasure this, and the wait was definitely worth it.
(By the way, further *national* strike action is due for the UK mail system starting 26 October. Very annoying!)

exciting growth
Wow, what growth. I was looking at the blog today to check up since I haven't looked lately do to that old nasty school homework that I have to do. I am amazed at how big the exchange has become. I guess everyone is learning about how much fun it is. I am looking forward to this next round. I always love everything that I have gotten and I think my mother is a getting a little jealous. She asks me all the time if I have received anything new. She has limited eye sight and it is difficult for her to due needlework however she still loves to quilt. Have a great day everyone and Happy Halloween.

To My Sender ... Whoever You Are!
Just to say, post here is all screwed up because in a few areas, the postal workers went on strike. Not in my own area, but enough around the country to cause chaos, including the main sorting office which processes incoming international mail.
So, if you're wondering why I haven't posted - it's because I'm waiting patiently for my exchange to be delivered!
(Backlogs are not priority apparently. They process new mail first. Weird.)

Thankyou so much Shay, I will treasure it alway's!

Round 3 Received
I received my round 3 piece from Donna yesterday. She stitched me a cute santa design and made him into a hanging ornie for my tree.
Thanks Donna, he is just great, and the perfect size for my tree.

Back to Round 2
Here is the lovely piece I have just received from Becky for Round 2. There was a little hiccup and I didn't receive for this round, so Becky became my angel stitcher. The design is Pumpkin Patch on 32ct linen and stitched with DMC and she made it into a lovely pinkeep.
Thank you Becky, I adore it, and it was well worth the wait!
Happy stitching
